Loggers aren’t allowed to cut down redwoods anymore, but it’s a beautiful wood when you can find it. This table has a tight vertical grain redwood core and it’s wrapped in cypress. The redwood is salvaged from giant wine tanks used by the Wente Brothers Winery, and the cypress hails from Vlasic pickle tanks! Only the best wood was chosen for wine and pickle barrels so you can be sure you’re getting a quality product.
“With our showroom we have the ability to create new furniture concepts and highlight them for the public,” co-owner Devin Garrett explains. “This is another option for the redwood, where you see the tight vertical grain wrapped in cypress. It’s a unique way to show off the wood.”
This is finished with Waterlox Original finish, which gives it a medium gloss. Table Dimensions: 38″x80.5″. Pictured with Douglas Fir trapezoidal style base, which is sold separately for $1,750.
Our tables are built to last! All of our tables feature our precision milled lamellas adhered to a Baltic Birch substrate and wrapped in high quality old growth wood. We only use FDA food safe adhesives and finishes.
